Varial Heelflip
A mix of a Frontside Pop Shuvit and a Heelflip.
The Varial Heelflip combines the frontside 180-degree rotation of a Frontside Pop Shuvit with the lengthwise rotation of a Heelflip. It is a stylish trick that is a bit more difficult than its kickflip counterpart.

👟 Foot Positioning
1. Front Foot Position

2. Back Foot Position
Your back foot should be in a frontside pop shuvit position, in the heel-side pocket of the tail, ready to scoop the board forward.

Scoop and Flick
Pop the tail and scoop it forward for the frontside shuvit motion while flicking out with your heel for the heelflip.
Jump Forward
The board will move in front of you, so you need to jump forward to stay on top of it.
Catch and Land
Watch for the griptape and catch the board with your feet, landing over the bolts.
Golden Tip!
This trick is all about the scoop of the back foot. The heelflip part is a more gentle push than a hard flick.
⚠️ Common Mistakes
Board doesn't rotate the full 180: Scoop harder and more towards the front.
Board doesn't flip: Make sure you are flicking out with your heel.
Landing behind the board: You must commit to jumping forward.
