Landing a clean Hardflip is a major milestone for any skater. It is a respected trick that demonstrates a high level of board control and technical ability.

👟 Foot Positioning

Your front foot is set up like a kickflip, but slightly more centered on the board.

2. Back Foot Position

Your back foot is in the frontside shove-it position, in the pocket of the tail.

📈 Detailed Hardflip Execution

1

Pop and Shove

Pop the tail and scoop it forward for the frontside shove-it motion.

2

Flick

As the board starts to shove, flick your front foot straight up and slightly forward to initiate the kickflip.

3

Catch and Land

The board will flip vertically between your legs. Catch it with your feet over the bolts and land.

💡

Golden Tip!

The key is the timing between the shove and the flick. The flick happens almost immediately after the shove.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

⚠️

Board not flipping correctly (credit carding): This is dangerous. Make sure to jump high and give the board room to flip.

⚠️

Board only doing a shove-it: You need to add the kickflip flick.

⚠️

Landing with only one foot: Commit to the trick and try to land with both feet.
