The Stylish Turn and Heel

The Frontside 180 Heelflip combines a frontside 180-degree ollie with a heelflip. It is known for its stylish, flowing look, but can be challenging to control due to the opposite motions of the body turn and the heel flick.

1

Wind Up and Pop

Start turning your shoulders frontside as you pop the tail.

2

Flick and Rotate

As you pop and start the frontside 180 rotation with your body, flick your front foot forward and out to the side for the heelflip.

3

Catch and Land

The board will flip and turn. Keep your eyes on it, catch it with your feet over the bolts, and land switch.

💡

Golden Tip!

The key is to find the right timing between your shoulder turn and your heel flick. It should feel like one smooth, continuous motion.

⚠️ Common Mistakes

⚠️

Board doesn't flip: You might be turning too much before flicking. Focus on the flick.

⚠️

Board doesn't rotate 180: Lead more with your head and shoulders.

⚠️

The board lands behind you: Try to jump forward with the board.
