Bigspin
The Body and Board Spin
A Bigspin involves the board doing a 360-degree pop shove-it while the rider rotates their body 180 degrees in the same direction. The most common form is a backside bigspin.

🎯 Go Big
The Bigspin is a stylish trick that combines rotation and board control. It is a great way to add flow to your lines and can be done on flat, over hips, or down stairs.
👟 Foot Positioning
1. Front Foot Position
Your front foot is placed comfortably near the front bolts, ready to guide the board and catch it.
2. Back Foot Position
Your back foot is in the 360 shove-it position, with your toes in the pocket of the tail to get a good scoop.

Wind Up and Pop
Wind up your shoulders for the 180-degree body rotation. Pop the tail and scoop hard for the 360 shove-it.
Rotate and Follow
As the board rotates, turn your body 180 degrees in the same direction. Keep your eyes on the board.
Catch and Land
Catch the board with your front foot first, then bring your back foot on as you complete your body rotation. Land and ride away switch.
Golden Tip!
The key is to get the full 360 rotation of the board while only turning your body 180. The scoop from the back foot does most of the work for the board's rotation.
⚠️ Common Mistakes
Board only rotates 180 (a pop shove-it): You need a much stronger scoop with your back foot.
Over-rotating your body: Focus on a controlled 180-degree turn.
Board lands too far away: Try to jump with the board and keep it underneath you.
